Spot an orange light—what’s your move?

You’re probably picturing a traffic light 🚦. Most drivers instinctively speed up or stop. But what if we flipped the script and used this orange light as a life metaphor?

Imagine those orange light moments in your life as chances to break out of autopilot. Instead of reacting automatically, why not take a moment to choose a new path?

“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose.” — Frankl

Join our seven-part YouTube series to explore these “orange light” moments. When you’re feeling off-center or triggered, instead of rushing or numbing out, recognize it as an opportunity to pause and reconnect with yourself.

Whether you’re new to these practices or they’re familiar, what matters is your choice to slow down and tune in. Let’s turn these moments into chances for growth and self-discovery.

Here’s our "Step on the Mat" ritual—an optional guided movement to start. Afterward, you can choose any of the other videos and follow them in order if you prefer.

Some Q & A

What's befriending myself? For many people, spending time tuning and turning inwards to befriend themselves is a new experience. It's a whole skill-set to be present with yourself. If you're new to these types of skills then what a fantastic time you have awaiting you! We're offering this video series as a potential bridge to turn awareness to face in. Pretty radical experience once “you get in.”

What if I'm confused and don't get this? If you're brand new to inner work or yoga or meditation or parts work or even to spending time on a mat, then this might be a big leap for your mind, body and spirit. It's ok to not get a practice, that's why it's called a practice. If you've only used YouTube to watch videos then there's a whole world of videos here with practices that open us to new experiences through our own bodies and awareness. One such example that you're probably familiar with are yoga videos. Watching someone demonstrate a yoga flow is a different experience than getting on a mat and practicing that sequence. Plus anyone practicing that same sequence is having a different inner experience. Plus the tenth time you practice the same sequence feels completely differently than the second. This series is about your own inner experience. You don't need to practice yoga to enjoy what we're offering. If you're open to new experiences then simply practice, which means repeat the experience again and again. There's a lot happening on various levels of awareness in these simple practices.
